Last week, PMCT honored our newly tenured teachers and teaching assistants in the district. Members gathered together to celebrate this outstanding achievement and receive their certificates and tenure pins. On behalf of PMCT, congratulations to all on this impressive accomplishment!

No one does Homecoming like Pat-Med! 🔴📣⚫️ Part of the reason why is because so many wonderful PMCT members give up their Saturday to march with students in the Homecoming parade, watch grade-level skits, and cheer on PM’s football team. The teacher support in our community is like no other!

On October 6th, Pat-Med staff members from all tiers rallied alongside 1,000+ NYSUT members to Fix Tier VI! Our impressive turnout made our voices heard and showcased solidarity. On March 8, 2026, we will head to Albany to once again show our support and demand that Albany lawmakers Fix Tier 6!

Many of our members volunteered their time bright and early Saturday morning to Wake Up the YES Vote for the upcoming budget! Groups went door-to-door reminding NYSUT members in the community of the importance of their vote. Thank you to all who participated in our Budget Walk!

We go #RedforEd to support public education and stop the infiltration of unregulated charter schools on Long Island!

Many PMCT members came together in solidarity to support our union brothers and sisters at Brookhaven Memorial Federation of Nurses and Healthcare Professionals (BMFNHP) in their fight for a fair contract at Long Island Community Hospital.
